~The Abridged Auto-biography~
In a Nutshell
Ken Cucchia is a Serial Entrepreneur from New Jersey, actively working on projects in the Blockchain & FinTech industries. Today, I serve as the Head of Strategic Partnerships at SPARE CS Inc, and by night, as a Global Partner at Crypto Asset Rating (Moody's for Cryptocurrency). I also support blockchain startups raising their ICO or STO in an advisory capacity, providing expertise on marketing & business strategy + Bounty/Airdrop campaign strategy and deployment. The Early Days
I graduated from Seton Hall University (NJ, USA) in 2010 with Bachelors Degrees in Business Management & Administration + IT Management, and a certificate in Entrepreneurship, then received my MBA in Marketing while getting my first startup off the ground. Before setting foot on a college campus for classes, I had the opportunity to learn how to sell from one of the most brilliant sales leaders on the planet; Mike Coscetta, who is one of my closest advisers. Until the end of 2018, Coscetta served as the Global Head of Sales at Square, Inc, and is now the Chief Sales & Strategy Officer at Compass.
Rewind back to the Summer of 2005, Coscetta, then a 25 year old recent graduate of Harvard University, was a Region Manager in Bergen County, NJ for Vector Marketing. While selling CUTCO Cutlery may not have been the most glamorous job on earth, it was here, as a seventeen year old kid who had just graduated from St. Joseph Regional HS (shout out to the daycare), under the tutelage of Mike Coscetta, where I developed the foundation of my business pedigree. A tireless work ethic, a drive for achievement, and my passion for entrepreneurship. Seeing my father get laid off and be out of work for a year in 2008 when the stock market crashed probably sparked the entrepreneurial fire a bit too. I knew from that moment that I would never let anyone decide my fate other than myself.
Last name = Cucchia; Proficient in knife sales. Imagine that.
As a 17 year old high school graduate, I achieved recognition for winning Vector's "Fast Start" competition, selling over $10K in CUTCO cutlery in his first 10 days on the job. For the Summer campaign, I won Vector Marketing's "All American Scholarship Award" for placing 28th in the nation in sales out of over 55,000 sales representatives. In 2006, I was recognized as a Top Personal Sales Leader and was awarded Vector Marketing's "Rising Star Award," and inducted into the President's Club. In 2007, I earned my Field Sales Manager promotion, and in 2008, Coscetta asked me to be his Assistant Manager when he became Division Manager for the company's Northeast Region, working out of Garden City, NY. At the end of his 4+ years at Vector, I had amassed just under $100K in career personal sales, field trained over 100 new sales representatives and to this day, I still do my best to live by the words that were instilled in me during sales training back in the summer of 2005.

Back to College
In June of 2010, following the completion of my undergraduate degrees at Seton Hall University, I started my entrepreneurial journey by founding Deals4Meals, an online ordering & delivery service for restaurants in college markets. While operating Deals4Meals, I developed partnerships with some of the largest organizations in the world including Blackboard Inc., The American Cancer Society, Relay For Life, Atrium Campus, California Pizza Kitchen, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, among others. The company's partnership with Blackboard allowed it to provide students the unique ability to pay for food from local restaurants using their college student ID card (bursar account) as payment online. In 2012, while operating D4M, I finished up my Masters degree in Marketing at Seton Hall and in September became the youngest President in the over 100 year history of the South Orange Chamber of Commerce, where my goal was to bring the organization, which had seen its robust paid member roll fall to under just eighteen members, back to life. During his two years in office, the SOCC became well known in Northern New Jersey for organizing some of the most well attended networking events in the state. We organized several co-sponsored events in partnership with other local chambers, which included guest speaking appearances by representatives from HubSpot, Square and Shopify, as part of Ken’s effort to bring new and useful technologies into the hands of brick & mortar business owners, and aspiring internet entrepreneurs alike. Upon leaving office in 2014, the organization had over seventy paid member businesses on the roll upon leaving office in 2014, an increase of over 400% from when he took office.
In November 2015, I bought the business of one of my highest volume clients at Deals4Meals, and re-branded it as University Subs & Wings, a late deli & restaurant that offered delivery from 8am to 4am 6 days a week. Within five months, we had more than doubled monthly sales to nearly 60K per month, and then sold it in July 2016. At the end of 2016, after 6+ years as CEO of Deals4Meals, the blockchain bug struck, and after bringing the D4M concept to seven (7) universities in four (4) states, it was time to move on having gained an unparalleled amount of on-the-job experience that helped mold a diverse business acumen in the fields of:
2017 was a year for research, recovery, relaxation and refocusing, also known as the four "R's". And of course cryptocurrency trading. In early 2018, I began advising early stage blockchain projects from all over the world, the first of which was Helix Hills, a startup from Estonia that aims to connect businesses & service providers with top freelance talent, and have taken on clients from five countries since. In December 2018 I began my current role as Head of Strategic Partnerships @ SPARE, a FinTech startup with immense potential that I feel blessed to be a part of.

What's next? The rest of the story shall be the future, and soon thereafter, history.
Though the best education is, of course, experience.
